Ms. Senior Missouri Dance Troupe

Ms. Senior Missouri Dance troupe are high energy tap dance performers, all over the age of 60, that perform throughout the St. Louis metro area. Senior assisted living communities, churches, banks, expos, fairs parades and Ms. Senior Missouri pageant are some of the venues they perform. All dancers are former Ms. Senior MO. Pageant contestants and are members of the MO. Pageant alumni club.

Two of today’s tappers, Berkley Evans and Norma Cobert have performed professionally at the Muni Opera. Norma was Ms. Senior MO in 2003 and 3rd runner up in the nationals.

Berkley went on to New York to perform on Broadway and she was in the original cast of “The Boyfriend” starring Julie Andrews. Judy Davis, the current Ms. Senior Mo., will also be dancing today.

They will be tapping to: “When you are smiling melody” by Brenda Lee.

Please come and see them at the Working Women’s Survival Show on the Fit stage. They will be tapping to Broadway musicals and popular songs, ending with their famous tambourine dance.

GROOVE is an authentic dance experience! Where we have unity on the dance floor but also move unique. It has 2 to 3 simple moves per song and is easy to follow. If you can walk you can Groove.

Classic Barre3 Workout

It is a full-body balanced workout combining strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness. Get your body moving and heated with a warm-up to prepare for a focused fiery leg & glute series, followed by dynamic stretching while you're warm to lengthen. We will finish with core work, light stretch and breathwork.

The Cirque Workout

Our circus arts inspired class gets you fit and flying with some full body aerial fitness conditioning for balance, flexibility, coordination, and strength. This class is for anyone wanting to get a good grip on a unique and interesting way to work out. Fitness will teach you poise, strength, body movement awareness, form, and technique though working on the ground and in the air. Students will go through a variety of activities to help build on fundamental skills through active flexibility, body coordination exercises and strength building moves.

Fun and interactive Self defense demonstration on how to protect yourself, with informative tips and resources on how to get free lessons. Demo by a 12 year military veteran and Dating Violence Prevention expert.

Modern Belly Dance

Join us for this fusion workout that combines modern dance moves with slow, snaky arm movements, serpentine-like belly undulations, hand ripples and waves, mesmerizing hip circles, and of course the iconic shoulder shimmy! This class will give you a basic understanding of belly dance technique, posturing, language, move execution and will help you to build a body full of strength with curves.

Chassjoy Fitness Party is back with the Zumba and Mixxedfit dance fitness workout. Zumba and Mixxedfit Instructor will lead dance moves to music in salsa, reggae, hip hop and oldies but goodies. Chassjoy Fitness Party brings a dance fitness party more than a workout. Burn calories, have fun!

Aerial Hoop

In our 4-week series classes you can learn the moves and transitions to bend and twist your body gracefully around a circle in the sky! In Aerial Hoop class we will focus on the basics of aerial bar work. You will learn how to maneuver the aerial hoop, body positioning, balance, and conditioning moves that will allow you to properly execute moves with grace and style. Level 1 class focuses on movements and poses beneath the bar and inside the hoop.

Steppin’ Up Dance

Steppin’ Up Dance Productions located in O’Fallon, MO, has been providing quality dance instruction for 16 years. Their dancers are trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, and tumbling. The competition team is nationally ranked and has competed in numerous competitions and even performed on two cruise ships. There is a place for every dancer at Steppin’ Up Dance. Whether you are recreational or competitive, Steppin’ Up is the place for you!

Pole Barre

Combining fitness elements of pole dancing fitness and ballet training, in this full body class you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of ballet technique in a welcoming, lighthearted environment. We laugh and sweat our way through a classical ballet barre, gentle stretching, and build on our progress with movement across the floor. Dance Conditioning will incorporate progressive Ballet techniques including a method of working with balls and therabands to help students in improving core stability and alignment.

Pazazz Dance

The Pazazz Performing company is the pre professional dance company in residence at St. Louis Academy of Dance. Pazazz dancers are ages 8-18 and study ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, musical theatre and more. They can be seen performing all over the St. Louis area.

Chair Dance Fitness

Burn calories and dance off the pounds with this cardio intensive and flirtatious fitness style! This class will teach you to twirl, sweat and feel fabulous doing it! With a mix of fun and easy to learn choreography movements we sit, spin, and manipulate ourselves around the chair as we dance. You'll never look at a kitchen chair the same again!
